Haridwar Hanuman Pratisthana

These are the words from Jagadguru Shri Madhwacharya. The sacred Ganga is the great mother for persons like ‘Devavratha’ (Bheeshmacharya). The effort of rigorous penance from ‘Bhageeratha’ brought the holy Ganga to cleanse the worldly land. On the banks of the river Ganga, the great saint ‘Shuka’ read ‘Shrimad Bhagavatha’ before the king ‘Parikshita’. ‘Ajamila’ repenting for his sins was purified by Ganga. The discussions between Vidura and Maitreya flowed into ‘Gnana Ganga’ in the presence of Ganga. The three avataras of Vayudevaru: Hanuma – Bheema – Madhwa brought immense purity and holy status to the Ganga. With all these background in mind, Jagadguru Shri Madhwacharya proudly said: “Nasyateertha Saleelasya Samam Vaha”. Haridwar, which is the doorstep for reaching ‘Badarinaryana’ is the place where the Ganga lives daily.

In such a sacred place at Hardiwar, during June-2006, through the “Haridwar Hanuman Pratishthan” of Sri Palimaru Mutt, under the leadership of Sri Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha Swamiji, a gigantic 32 feet single stoned idol with all the 32 special features of Sri Pranadevaru (which is the first avatar of Sri Vayudevaru) has been instituted. In the northern India, Jagadguru Shri Madhwacharya had travelled extensively and was very influential in spreading the philosophical preachings of Dwaita Siddhanta. Over the period, this influence is appearing to be sliding down. In order to spread the message and the preachings of Dwaita Philosophy, it was the greatest desire by our Guruji Sri Sri Vidyamanyateertha Sripadaru to establish an ‘Adhyatma Kendra’ on the banks of river Ganga.

PLANNED WORKS AT THE ABOVE “ADHYATMA KENDRA”

1. Building a temple of 64 feet height for the 32 feet height idel of Sri Pranadevaru.

2. ‘Ganga mangala taranga bhangadaprantasu Sri Hariveshmakritsamaha | Yadgataikatamarvanalekhaka……….’ It is said by Narayana Panditacharya in Sri Madhwa Vijaya that, on the banks of river Ganga, even if a word from the “Sarvamoola of Sri Madhwacharya” is inscribed, it is equivalent to building a temple for “Sri Narayana”. If the entire “Sarvamoola” is able to be inscribed on the banks of river Ganga, it would bring immense blessings.
In order to inscribe these ‘Sarvamoola Granthas’ and spread the message of ‘Madhwa Siddhanta’ in the northern India - “Sarvamoola Bhavana”

3. In order to spread the message of ‘Madhwa Siddhanta’ to the coming generations on the lines of ‘Gurukulas’ - “Sri Vidyamanya Vidyapeetha”.

4. On the banks of river Ganga, in order to perform regular research work on ‘Bhagavata pravachana’ - “Bhagavata Dhama”.

5. For studying and spreading the messages from the ‘Dasa Sahitya’ - “Haridasa Mandira”.

6. Persons desirous of spending the final days of their life on the banks of river Ganga to attain the eternal status - “Sadhana Kuteera” for ‘vanaprasthas’.

7. A well equippied clinic with the herbal medicines from Ayurveda – “Dhanvantari Dhama”.

8. To perform the rituals on the banks of river Ganga – “Janardhana Dhama”.

9. For the well being and due care of the cows which are holy and divine in nature – “Gokula”.

10. Pilgrims who visit ‘Sri Badari Narayana’ at Badarinath, a comfortable stay at Haridwar for their break-journey - “Yathri Nivas”.

11. For environmental preservation and protection – “Nakshatra Vana – Navagraha Vana – Sanjeevana Vana”.

To spread the message of both “Dasa Sahitya” & “Vyasa Sahitya” by establishing “SRI MADHWA MATHA” on the banks of river Ganga in Haridwar is the ultimate desire.
