Yogadeepika Gurukula
Yoga Deepika, a residential school, in the traditional Gurukula style has been functioning at Palimaru for the last eighteen years. This was the dream project of the most venerable H.H. Vidyamaanyateertha, the Guru of H.H.Vidyadheeshateertha, who is now heading Palimaru MaTa.
The students go through a meticulously structured, six year course of study in Pourohitya and Tantraagama, which would mould them as top shelf Purohits, Archakas and Tantris. The course would also teach them Sanskrit, and Astrology which are essential components of this profession. |

The course is also designed to shape the character and utilize the full potential of the student so that they blossom into persons of high values, with excellent communication skills and leadership qualities. The Swamiji, himself takes keen interest, in the development and progress of each student
The course prepares the students for ‘PRAVEENA’ and ‘PRAVARA’ examinations. These are certifying examinations conducted by the Government of Karnataka. This would enlarge the employment scope of the candidates.

Both the school and the hostel do not impose any fee whatsoever, during the entire six year period of the course.
With the munificent donations and endowments from the large hearted, philanthropic devotees of the MaTa, it has been possible to complete many schemes to upgrade the facilities. Our grateful thanks to these pious souls.
The recurring cost of running Yogadeepika, works out to Rs. 1.5 Lakhs per month. We need the continued and unstinted support from people like you, only which can help us take the institution to even higher levels. For your convenience we give below a few donation capsules:
a)The food expense per student is Rs.500/- per month. You could either contribute Rs.500/- each month or donate a sum of Rs.6000/- annually.
b) You could, in memory of your elders or on the birthdays of your dear ones, contribute Rs.3000/- as your Hastodaka seve’ .
c) You could ‘adopt’ a student, by contributing Rs. 25000/- per year.
d) You could contribute Rs.60000/- per year to cover the salary of one teacher, as your Vidyaa daana .
These are only some indicators. They certainly do not limit your scope of assistance. You could, as per the prerana of Sri HarivaayugaLu , send your contributions in kind or cash. We would also like to add that all your monetary contributions would qualify for exemptions under 80G of the Income Tax act. Such contributions/Donations should be sent through a crossed a/c payee cheque or Demand Draft, made out in favour of Sri Palimaru MaTa, Car street, Udupi payable at Udupi
